Laura Kikauka is a self proclaimed techno-nymph & professional-hobbyist, who often finds the extraordinary in the ordinary. She creates detailed collect-o-hollic environments from junk and discarded products, cross-fertilizing unorthodox techniques with personal experiences to create work which reveals the humorous absurdities and ironies of our everyday lives. She divides her time being Miss Management while marketing her products & Miss Understood while explaining them.

Laura sees the absurdities, paradoxes & ironies in discarded (once fashionable & adored) consumer items. She collects, compiles, combines, & revives them and invites us to share the humor & tragedy of "failed ambitions" while at the same time making a social comment on our culture.
